first thing... sorry for the rambling.. but ok it is almost time for me to tag my truck and i want to get another truck anyways and i wanna do a build up on my current truck... so anyways i need your alls opinion... ok to keep from ever breaking anything... i am gonna post what i am gonna use... i plan on going a 1000+ hp. but anyways i am gonna run the front axle and rear axle out of a 4700 series intenational... what do you all think first??? i am gonna drag race this truck sled pull with this truck and mud run with this truck... as well i want it to almost be street legal... ok... for the frame... i think i will box it in... maybe even build a new frame... and for the tranny what should i do??? i have a 5 speed... i want something that will never break also... and what about the motor block itself??? i do not think it will handle that kind of power... and ok what all should i do to make this truck fast strong and reliable??? as well i think i am gonna run it on either nitrous or ppg... as for all the kiddies love when you purge before your run... but what all should i have in the block??? and the chassis??? and axles??? and plz guys take this serious as i am def gonna do this... it may be a year or so but it is def gonna happen... thanx in advance to you all that help me with this...

 

i wouldnt even worry about it until you had about 15k to get started. The clutch is gonna go with 1000 hp. Frame will have to be boxed or a frame ladder built from tube steel. AS for axles, if your going to use it for pull, it doesnt really matter, your going to eat it up too....

 

i know... i will have over 15k by july... and that will buy my new truck... and then i will have another 15k by maybe august... if you are wondering right now is a dead time in the year for the work i do... but still i don't think the axles out of a 4700 series will ever bust or break... and i am gonna go with a valair clutch...

umm i do about everything... i have rent trailers i draw about 3000 a month from that... i move mobile homes... and i have a wrecker bisiness... i have 3 dozers... we have 2 backhoes... i also weld paint and do some body work for ppl as well as rhino line truck beds... i do about everything... and i am glad to see you guys are not taking me serious on this...

 

I have heard the engines can make that HP but need serious work. A girdle will help the bottom. Fire ringed heads. I saw an article recently in diesel world of a similiar truck. I think he had different pistons, rods, cam, ported heads and big, if not dual, turbo.

Cummins conversion is the way to go.

Good point. I just like the fact that the 444 can outperform the average Cummins but with alot more work. And I stress ALOT.

I remember reading somewhere that it would take like 40-50k to get a 1000 hp Powerstroke. I think it might have been in the SD fourm. Everybody thought it could be done much cheaper. However, Beans came on and mentioned quite a fews things that would need attention.

I believe the only way to get 1000 hp is get a mack v8 injector pump.

I dont know though. I don't pay much attention to that extreme hp stuff.

 

thanks neal... i have been wanting to see the pics close up of that truck... and i will deff be running a hood stack when i do this buildup... me and my dad discussed all f this and he said he would even help finance the buildup if i would stay off of drugs and everything... if you guys are wondering... i have never been on drugs... but the whole county around here is very bad for doing drugs... so this may be sooner then i think...
