ok fellers here it is.....i have an 87 bronco 5.0 efi bone stock aod tranny...well i ran it hot and now im gonna rebuild it...what can i do to it...im gonna run(true) dual exhaust what do i need to do for the o2 sensor?im not gonna bore it...im gonna put in some flatops nothin extreme...what cam can i get away with...i want lots of torque...is there something i can do to the computer while i have it all down?i have shorty headers already so im goin with them...im gonna leave all the smog stuff on except for the converters...i want a lot of power out of this thing....i cannot stress that enough...i dont want to do a mas swap...i want it like it is now just with alot more grunt...im not lookin for high rpm power!!!i got a set of e7te heads redone ported bigger exhaust valves that im gonna use also!!it has 33-12.5-15 tires on it now but im gonna lift it and go to 35's....im gonna regear it also before i lift it...will any dana44 gear set from a front axle fit into the ttb dana44?if so i have my larger carrier already!!im lookin for all the power i can get here fellers so help me out...and im not rich so dont try to break me!!!thanks in advance for the info!!

your best bet is to do the 5.8 swap because there is no way to get the kinda grunt your talking about with out major mods to that motor and you will still run short but have a real empty wallet. I did this swap with the same year bronco and it was the best upgrade i could have ever done. its a strait swap, you can reuse those heads you just had done onto the 5.8 block, reuse your 302 wiring harness , all the accessory brackets from your 302 will also fit onto the 5.8. Honestly this would be your best option . i even get better mpg now then when i had the 5.0 in there.
