I was talking to a guy who says he works on fords all the time. I met him at the parts store when I went to get new bearings for my 351M. He told me that the bearings would last a lot longer if I ran a line from a plug in the block just above the fuel pump to the spot where the oil sending unit is. that way the motor would get more oil to the bottom end on start up. so he claims. Is he right?

Forom what I have Read he is correct although I dont think I would do it on an engine that was getting tired because in my opiion it isnt worth the time on a old used engine
this summer my little brother and I are going to convert his 351 in his '78 bronco to a 400 I intend to do this oil mod to this engine because it is new ...thats just my opinion

This external oil line is a mod meant to prevent starving the bearings at high rpm and should be used with restrictors placed in the upper galley feed as well to get the most out of it.
