HUH???? humm, lets redesign something because its doing too good of a job.... i guess ford thought that they could save $1 and give us all something that will scratch our trucks instead of doing the job it was designed to do.
Yes, thats exactly what I said. "Oversealing", WTF do they mean!!!
and no one can figure out why ford is losing money...lol. side note what about the deal that they sold jag and land rover to TATA motors for like 1.7 billion.... and bought it back in 98 for like 6.? billion...
same thing they did on my taurus wagon, it would trap leaves, pine needles etc, between the gasket and the drip channel causing it to kill the paint/become a rust have....maybe they actually just learned from mistakes?
I assume when you take that interior trim off you just have to take off the bottom piece of the trim, the one with the handle in the middle of it. Do you just easily pry the trim off or is there any trick to doing it?

Yes,
Once you take out the screws from the handle, the trim pulls straight away from the glass, (not up) only the clips holding it on after screws out. Had mine apart to lube lock mechanism so it locks properly. The lock did actuate and you could hear it working but the glass didn't lock down. You might as well lube it up while you have the door apart. (I just used silicone spray.)
yes you just pry it off but take your time at that point get another six pack, you probally need to remove all pieces of the trim, did yuou find any loose bolts??? or just loosen the boldt and readjust the plastic trim???
I haven't had a chance to do it yet. So there are some bolts in there that can be loosed up to move the rear piece of plastic up that surrounds the outside rear hatch handle?
yup, i would loosen all the nuts to just snug and the move the plastic trim up ward on the side that is rubbing on the barn door (after looking at mine the plastic is covered by the edge of the gasket) then tighten the bolts snug be careful not to overtighten as this could snap the screws off the plastic piece. close the barn doors and slowly lower the upper hatch. check for clearence and keep adjusting till you find that the plastic is not rubbing on the barn door. once you have a good clearence. snug the nuts up and put all the plastic trim on the inside back on. be carefull and make sure to take your time as the plastic peg will snap off if you rush.
