The problem began when I turned on the wipers when they were frozen to the windshield. I turned them off immediately when I realized they were frozen, but apparently not soon enough. They work on high speed but not intermittent or the low speed setting. I've replaced the multi-task column switch and then the motor. Yesterday I got a replacement intermittent wiper governor(relay) from another vehicle(85 Ranger) and tried it, and they still don't work???
Does anyone out there have any suggestions where I go from here? I'm gettin a little depressed, now
I've resolved the B2 wiper problem Turns out it was the intermittent module, after all! When I plugged it in I just didn't push the plugs together well enough to make good contact. After going over it again I found this and they work
Too bad I spent the $100 on a new motor and switch first.
thats ok, on mine i wasnt driving it for a few weeks, jumped in started it and my wipers didnt work at all... turns out the battery was low and didnt have enough juice until i ran it for a while

huh,the batt had enough juice to start the engine, but not enough to run the wipers. thats a new one
You have to take the speedo cluster out of the dash to get to the module. Once you get it out you'll see this little black box, approx 1-1/2" square, with a bunch of wires coming out of it - two sets of four wires, as I recall, with a plug on the end of each set of wires. As I said, you can't miss it once you get the speedo out.
If you go to the Ford store to buy this module they quoted me right at $100. I got it at the local U-Pull-It for $30!
Just make sure you clean the terminals good and apply light coat dielectric grease to the terminals. And, push them together snug! May save you the time of taking the speedo out a second time as I did.
