I want to get the Prodigy controller for a couple trucks at work. But, I am not paying for them (which is good) but my boss (my Dad) doesn't want to spend a fortune.
So, I got a price and the Prodigy is almost $200. BUT, I heard there are others that are the same but they just have THEIR name on them. Like this one: http://store.drawtite.com/dt20185.html
Matt, it has to be made by Prodigy. It not only looks identical, has identical mounting hardware, but also Prodigy is the only manufacture that makes this claim:

BTW, I got my Prodigy from ebay for $120. So whatever the difference between our two currencies, $130 is probably a good price. And you are buying local too.
They shouldn't be, but they do look identical. Drawtite sells and markets their own technology most of the time, so I'm very surprised it appears to be the same. I'm sure they WORK the same. You should be able to walk into a store and walk out with a Prodigy for $120. You can find them online for under $100. I think I paid $90 six months ago. If it was me I'd pay the extra $10 and get the name, but a business probably doesn't care :P
Draw-Tite, Reese, Tekonsha, Hidden Hitch are all the same company. Most of the products are sold accross the lines and packaged under different brand names. If it looks like a prodigy then it is the same exact thing. FYI: Tekonsha also builds and brands for many of the Auto parts houses. So it is likely that if you see a Ballcamp, carquest, pepboys, etc. brand of brake control that looks like a Tekonsha, then it is likely the same thing.
