Well, my 194 LED's finally arrived on a slow boat from China and I can't wait to load them up in my new instrument cluster! I ordered 20 of them!
Well, it's not NEW.... but it's different. I'm swapping in one with the factory tach and trip meter. First thing I have to do it repaint the needles and then install the LED's while I'm at it.
Supposedly, you can dim LED's but I'm very skeptical. I guess there's only one way to find out.
I had a bucketload of LED's in my instrument cluster when I got it and they were next to useless, I hope yours turn out better. The major problem with LED's is that they are highly directional so you may have to play with the factory mounting positions to get satisfactory results. You'll probably find that they will dim using the factory dimmer on the light switch, but I don't think you'll need to.
Edit: I just looked at the pic you posted again and the LED ends seem to have a different end on them than the ones I got. Maybe they will spread the light a little better than a standard LED
