I have a 97 f250 with a 351 and 5-speed. I was wondering if I could use a 11 inch clutch instead of the 11 1/2. There is a significant price difference between the two.
Not sure where you are shopping but 11" or 11.5" clutch kits for your combination are usually with $10 of one another and in the $250 range at places like rockauto.com. You of course can pay retail if you wish.

Anyway, with your truck you should use a 11.5" clutch kit because that's what is original and the larger diameter clutch kits last longer and bit better than an equally manufacturered kit of the smaller diameter.
