Has anyone removed the stock horns and replaced them with boat horns/trumpets? I'm thinking that these may be a good middle ground between the stock tricycle horn and train horns that will no doubt get me in trouble.

Reason: redundancy
Yea, I'll probably do the train horns as well. However, when I flip the switch to 'stock', I'd like to have something a little more powerful. The boat horn are electric and can get pretty darn loud. About 140 db for the ones I put on my last boat.
I put some real, air, boat horns behind the grill of my truck while keeping the stock electric ones as a "switch to option". Switch is mounted on the front dash left of the steering wheel. See gallery for pic's of the install.
REAL diesel locomotive horns will run you from $500 to $1200 on ebay. Those are the real thing, not what many companies lable as "train horns". I guess they can come close to a Nathan M3 or even better a K5LA (like Amtrak uses) sound, but if you want the real deal fork up th dough....
