Check out fordfuelinjection.com for details on the differences between these two systems. OBD1 trucks have the 5-pin test port under the hood, while OBD2 has the 16pin port under the dash. You truck will have OBD1 which isn't as smart, but the upside is you don't need a tuner to get more power, you just have to bolt-on parts to get more air through the motor, headers and exhaust, indiction, and cam upgrades.

With my new toy(TweecerRT) I can do stuff like that in seconds, but you have to have an EEC that's supported by a tuners first... of course. The big problem is that nobody has ever reverse engineered the SD computers found in these trucks, they're usually ditched for SEFI Mass Air versions as soon as people start hot rodding, so the necessary files needed to make changes with a chip or tuner have not been created.
