Turn signals stop when brake pressed
HI Did a lot of searching and only found 1 guy with same problem back in 2004 but he didn't get an answer. Turn signals ok until I brake, they stop flashing and the dash indicator goes steady only dimmer. Tried moving the tilt wheel but that doesn't change the trouble. It's cold and snowing so don't want to get too involved today. Flasher?? Multifinction switch?? Worn wiring by brake pedal??
Any other ideas?

sounds like the light citcuit is hunting for a ground.........check the rear ground wires for the tail lamps......check the trailer wires and such while back there.........i once had a dual filament bulb that one of the filaments broke and laid on top of the other one and caused all kinds of weird stuff......also....if the truck is equipped with 2 flashers...change both of them.....

Thanks for the reply. I just came in from finding it. I had a combo tail and brake light plugged in the reciever that plugs into the 4 pin connector. It's ckt must have failed. Unplugged that and signals ok. That light cost me $15.00 and lasted for 1 year. It was kind of nice because it was both tail and brake light. Fixed now anyway. Not sure if I'll replace it or not. Thanx
