351M power gone

I need some help my truck just got its headers a couple weeks ago i am waiting for my radiator and putting a diffrent 351M/400 in it well i just drove it to see how its running it has no power whats so ever put it to the floor it use to start roosting like crazy now it just pops and wount take off help. And yes i still have the broke radiator in it but i dont let it get warm so it wount open the thermostat. And it is just runing on open headers

I think i figured it out the accerator pump cover had 3 nuts loose on it find out tommarow i couldent start it didnt want to wake up my neibors

Mabey sombody can help all it does is turn over it fires sometimes but it wount keep firing.

Did your new headers burn through any plug wires, ignition wires, or vaccume lines? Sometimes motors will loose power through open headers. Is the carb flooding the cylinders? How long did you run it with open headers? Sometimes, if there is not enough back pressure, it can burn exhaust valves, and Ms are know for week exhaust valves. If this just started when the headers were installed, I would look there first.

Well i dont let it run for more than 3minutes beacuse of the radiator.The exhaust valves i hope i didnt hurt them i reved it up to about 3,500 couple times to get the rest of the paint burnt off of the headers and to see if anything didnt sound right , But i think i figured it out the fuel pump and filter becuse it was trying to start but didnt seem like it was getting enough gas.

Remove the fuel line from the carb and bump the starter over, if you get a steadty stream of fuel its OK. If it just spurts a little, thats your problem. I hope it that simple for you!
