I hear of the 351C engine but no one seems to talk about it much.
Was it a car engine? I was looking for something with a little more get up and go than my 351M and wondered what the 351C was all about. How does itcompare to the 351M? You can tell that I am new to all this.
Thanks,
Terry
The 351C was a car engine. If you want more power take you 351M out and do some work to it there is a article out there from hot rod they got around 400hp 475tq out of a 406M(400 bored out)
There are a few differences, but there are similarities as well.
The 351C has a small block bellhousing pattern. Ususally limiting it to a C-4 auto. They did make C-6s for the 351C, but they are getting hard to find used. Alot of the internals are the same, as well as the heads. They have different intakes. There is a very informative article in the tech section of this site called Hot-Rodding the 351M/400. It will tell you everything else that is the same and different about these engines. If you would like a copy of the Hot Rod article, I could send one to you.
