I have a new seal for where the shaft goes in the transmission, not put in yet, everyone is telling the mechanic this won't stop the movement, waiting to find an answer.

where it slips in to the tranny? you shouldn't be able to move the front at all as well as rear of the shaft at the pinion. there is more stress on the front of the driveline than there is at the rear. do you have a tranny leak in that area? like the rear seal?
i think you just found your vibration! if you can move it , it will cause a vibration!
Well my friend, lucky for me it dropped in the grass, my mechanic friend put in the new rear yoke for me. Should I go ahead and put the front driveshaft seal in till I get this figured out, don't want to do any more damage. The seal that's in there has no rubber left, took me forever to get a new one.

Ok, now now things are becoming a little clearer. is it a yoke that is welded to the shaft or the splined yoke? If it is a welded yoke that he replaced have the shaft checked, if it is the splined yole you should be fine. You could do a very close look at the shaft to check for any bends or run it on jack stands and check it that way. Greg
It's not a welded yoke, still can't figure out all the play at the end that goes in the transmission. A bad seal wouldn't cause that, would it?
