fuel hose replacement

fuel hose replacement
when changing the three fuel hoses are all three connected to the fuel pump, and if so do you have to take the fuel filter "can" out to get to the bottom one?

There is a kit avalable for the hoses from ford if you wish ,,,two different sizes of hose IIRC 3/8 & 5/16
You will need to remove something to get to the lower one ,,the bowl is easiest ,,,put the hose on the bowl & tignten it ,,then hook it to the pump....

Yep, you might have a hard time getting the lower hose on the fule pump when you try to get the filter housing back in but if you put some oil on the fule pump conection it will make things a little easer. I had to you a 1x1 stick of wood between the HPOP and filter housing to get the hose to slide the pump.
The new hoses go on kind of tight.

DIESEL HOSES
Aeroquip FC332-06 , 3/8" rated 250 psi, 17 bar. Same thing that ford will sell you in little packages, cost sky high. You need 3 little aeroquip hoses - anything else that meets SAE J30R9 specs.<O

Black hose, 1 required: F4TZ-9324-BA (KFL34)
Longer Blue hose, 1 required: F4TZ-9324-CA (KFL33)
Shorter Blue hoses, 2 required: F4TZ-9324-DA (KFL35)<O></O>

Autozone has it, it is Goodyear fuel injection hose w/blue fluorestomer lining C-U-06-011, SAE J30R9 that w/ 900 psi etc. in 3/8 as well as 5/16 at a fair price<O></O>
It was 7 something not quite $8.00 per 18" lengths for 3/8. A little less for 5/16<O></O>
