Hypertech max energy or econ programmer?
Running a basically stock 2002 7.3L F250 crew cab long bed. MPG is ok but looking for improvement with todays high diesel prices. Anyone have any experience with the econ or max energy? They claim 2-6mpg but wanted to get a reality check. Seems to me the econ is just a mpg improvement with no added features and the max energy has both hens the $50 higher price tag. Thanks for any help. Just looking for a programmer that will give me max mileage. AL.

You might do better if you get your PCM reflashed by DP-Tuner for an 80 Econo. If you can keep your foot out of it, you could get 1-2 mpg, so they say. Plus it is more fun to drive which makes keeping your foot out harder.
