I GOT THE ALT GAVE TO ME SO I DONT KNOW ENY INFO ON WHAT IT CAME OFF OF BUT I WAS THINKING THAT SOME ONE WOULD OF OFFERED SOME HELPING INFO OTHER THAN TO POKE FUN AT ME AND SLAM ME ....SHORT TO THE POINT I AM NEW TO THE FORM AND NOT SURE HOW TO POST PICS OR LINKS TO THE PICS ......I THINK it came off a ford full size van but not sure of what kind and what motor i think it HAD aN v8 but it has a big case about 8 inchs or so around and two pin plug and a postive bolt next to the elect plug IT ALSO HAS A V BELT PULLY

Generally, you want to leave the alt rebuilding to the shops as there are some special tools you will need. I made the mistake of opening one once and I could never get it back together.
I do have to ask. Why do you want to rebuild it? Do you need it for one of your trucks?
By the way, I haven't figured out how to post pictures either so don't feel too bad.

Iam adding an alt to my key down truck for my cb amp need about 200 amps to 150 amp at 18 volts
this alt might not be as big as i need it is what i have to work with called ford and sight unseen the said it was 100 or 120 amp out of a amlbance (can not spell good)
lol going to take it by there this week unless i can find out what it is before

Most in this site will bend over backwards to help when they can, and some will go so far as to do research FOR you..but you have to give us SOMETHING to go on..casting #s, tag #s..something...
and don't take things so personal. You'll enjoy it here a LOT more..fmr9 was trying to make a point..a valid one..in an amusing way.. (well I thought it was funny anyway) to get you to give up some more information.
