Incorrect, as the Big Block 240 I-6 is the Baby Brother of the Big Block 300 I-6 w/ the Intake/Exhauste on the Passengerside for both.
You are thinking of the Small Block 215/223/262 I-6 family that has the Intake/Exhauste on the Driverside.
Then there is the Small Block 144/170 Special/200/250 I-6 family, but they also have the Intake/Exhauste on the Passengerside.

No, not that I've ever been able to find, as they look identical.
The only real differences are All interior, B&S, Crank & Head design.
Find the DATA Plate as it'll be listed in code there & it'll be mounted on the Door Frame driverside or on the Dispatch Box Door.

If you are as lucky as I was, the sticker was on the carb cover! I was hoping the '69 had a 300, but the sticker reviled a 240 under the hood. I believe an "A" in the VIN designates a 240. I very well could be wrong....
