OK fellas have just purchased a 1980 f150 4x4 with no motor in the truck but with that purchase I also recieved a 351C and c6 tranny with only 40K miles on the mated pair for $1000 dollars the truck also has5 inches of total lift. I have already purchased a milodon 8 qt pan and pickup for $75 and a HV oil pump.
my question is what else can or should I do to make sure the heads get plenty of oil in the right spots?????
The only modification you might need to make for a street engine is to put an external oil line from the oil passage in front of the fuel pump to the O.P. sending unit passage. Put in a T fitting so you can retain the O.P. sending unit. This is the same modification as you'd make on an M block. There's a page with a well documented Cleveland build up at:
