Not enough info to give a good answer. The correct hitch is one that will set the boat trailer near level. Don't want it pitching way un in the nose or draggin the tongue. If its single axle not too important, if dual axle then it will need to be near level for the weight distributors between the axle springs to do their job.
We are in the process of moving all the the old threads in the towing forum into the new towing forums, that'a why that thread was so old. The old forum will be gone when we get everything moved.
Oh, that's cool I was going to suggest a empty truck section.. members traveling with empty truck or trailer post up to help members move things in route and possible make a few bucks. We do it on another forum I am on and it works great. Anytime someone is dead heading they post up dates and if they have a trailer or not. If another member needs anything hauled, well they get together. I had a complete rolling chassis moved from Oklahoma city to Mobile Al. for $200 Guy was on his way with an empty enclosed trailer to pick up a truck in florida.
Anyhow just an idea. I travel a lot and often have room to pick up and drop off along the way.
