radio swap
just wanted to know if a oem ford 6 cd am fm radio from a 2003 f-350 fit a 2000 f-350 that has a am fm cass. player? i seen pictures of the 2003,s and the plug ins on the back look the same, any imfo will be greatly accepted.

Be cautious of a used 6 disc. If the disc unit is not secured properly internally when shipped or handled, it will be ruined. New units have special packing that secures the internals. Used units will not have this. I ordered two used units off ebay and had to send them both back before I figured this out.

There is a certain set of steps you can do that puts the radio in ship mode, and locks down the disc mechanism for shipping. I don't remember how it is done, but I remember seeing it posted on here before.
