hey I'm trying to swap a 302 in place of my old strait 6,the 302 is a truck eng but was removed from 84 fox body with 5 speed manual once I get the pilot bearing out it looks like there is another plug I need out for the c6 tourqe converter to fit ect. the crankshaft numbers say it's from an 87 passenger car 4 door 1987 any help? thanks

I have the correct mounts for 302 conversion from green ford here in cincy,just re-ringed motor,have the 5.0 mounts but can order new ones if truck mounts are diffrent?motor is 50 oz and have 50 oz flexplate 164 tooth, C6 with out overdrive,looks like a press fit plug that holds the pilot bearing,or heat interfearnce fit? hope it comes out cause the botom end is alredy put togeter arrrghh....

I'm getting ready to turn the engine back over one the stand and remove the crank,just to do it right so from here on out The crank is back out of the block untill issue is resolved thanks!

never mind pulled pilot bearing,and plug came out with it,so onward we go,hope this worn old c-6 can handle whats coming is way!!!if not that can be my next nightmare I know the old ford 9" can hang in there just how strong is a c6 new?proably need new post for that one
