Cool CPP Proportioning valve leak

Hi,

Just wondering if anybody else is having or had a problem with their CPP prop valve leaking from the front where that little black rubber cover is. Tried to bleed the brakes today, but instead I was able to ruin the paint on the frame and control arm

I will call them Monday but after telling them about there brake pedal bracket not fitting a 56 as advertised I am not expecting much of a answer. Hopefully I will be suprised.

After spending close to $500.00 for there firewall mounted brake system you would think something would work right. By the way this is a disk/drum setup.

Been fighting a brake proplem for over 2 years now and spend more then I would like to think about, maybe this truck is asking for a new owner (not going to happen ).

Chuck

That little seal is what blows when the prop valve goes bad in normal GM applications. I suspect that someone "nicked" it with the star washer retainer when they installed it. I know what youre talkin about when you ruined the paint, I've had that happen a time or two Hopefully when you contact them all will go smoothly!

CPP, good luck my friend. Trying to get any correspondence with them is damn near impossible. I've only dealt with them once and my experiance with them has been a rocky road, seems if they need to make a decision on something they are lost, have to talk to Vic have to talk Jeff have to talk to thier mothersit keeps going on and on. Live and learn I suppose

You are right good luck talking to them. I purchased the drop axle from Mid-fifty, I had a question in reference to the bracket for the sway bar and was given their name & number (CPP)I waited on hold forever and still didn't get anyone so I just hung-up.

Yea, I talked to them after I got this kit. It is advertised to fit 53 thru 56 and of coarse it is to short for a 56 and that seemed to be news to them which I know isn't true so this one will be interesting.

I will be in there neighborhood next month so maybe we will have a chat if this isn't resolved in the near future. Let you all know the results good or bad and would really prefer the good.

The hanging break pedal I got from them was to short to fit my 56 also, I had to cut the tab off that bolts to the dash and extend it about 5/8th's of an inch. I couldn't afford to send it back and have another shipped to me because UPS service is making me broke with thier brokeage fees ( maybe that's why they call them that) I can't understand how they are allowed to double dip the way they do, our governments must be getting a kick back, first they charge you shipping ,then they charge you minimum $ 50.00 to a percentage of the value of the merchandise and them our government taxes us on top of that OK I'm okay now
