I'd rather go with stainless everything when it comes to mirrors. The painted or the chrome plated ones always rust up and look like crap after a while. I am also lazy and don't want to take care of them.
These are mine. A little simpler than some of these, totally universal. The thing I like about them is that if bumped, they'll pivot rather than bend up my door skin. What I hated was the millions of pieces that had to be sanded ...
PS -- have you seen where people hang their turn signals on the frames of these? VERY visible...
It seems that the "K-Source" mirrors are listed as chrome and 6" x 11" sold by JC Whitney and others,
the "****" are listed as stainless steel and are 5" x 10". Sold at AutoZone and other places. Hmmm , i wish they had them in stock.
i think i might order these to see how good the stainless is.

Ford used to offer a 4 1/2" round spot mirror that could be clamped on one a those goose neck arms. It swiveled, and had an orange reflector on the front side.

It's obsolete, Green Sales doesn't have any, but Dennis Carpenter shows at least one in their NOS parts list (on page 2).
I meant to mention that NAPA stocks a large selection, not in the satellite stores but in the warehouse. Good prices and you can order one, look it over and return it if not to your liking. They had ones like the K-source
