You don't find that every day. It seems to get worse the closer you get to the big city's.
Unfortunately, those in the bigger cities control what is going on with the rest of the country. Their views don't necessarily reflect the views of those of us living in the rural areas.
I know what you mean. Power in numbers. The big citys have the people and the power. It seems like the rual people just keep getting pushed out further.
My grandpa can no longer farm his ground with any chemicals because the MUD has pushed there well fields out to his land. Omaha is right along the Missouri river and can't get good drinking water. Because all the industries and waste go into it. With all this modern technoligy you would think they would be able to clean that water up instead of pumping it from a different county. Even there own ground water is polluted and they blame the farmers for it. Well it wasn't poluted till they moved there and fertilized the grass. And if farmers polute so bad why are they moving well fields to farm ground for clean water.
I"m have some friends in NE South Dakota far from any
industrial activity whose water for thier home is piped 40
miles. If for no other reason the prevailance of cancer
is waking up some of those folks...
