I just got my truck running again but it was sitting on about 25psi on oil pressure when we were letting it run after we let it warm it I checked everything the radiator needs fixed so it was past the half-way point and my oil pressure was at almost 0 or on 0 should I just try changing the oil and everything? it seemed really low on power it really didnt want to move when i put it in 1st why would it be like that? help.
your oil pump or bearings are trashed, the same thing happened to my 351m this week, at cold idle, the pressure read 45 psi
ten minutes later it read 5 psi , a little later 1 psi, then it proceeded to knock like crazy,(rod bearings), it lost all power, watch out , I'm replacing mine with a windsor , 351m is just to much trouble and is notorious for oiling problems, it can't be saved except by a rebuild if your bearings are gone, check it out before its to late.
Well i just got some more gas(89 octain) for it drove it. It seems like it runs better even though it is a higher octain my only problem I have with it is I shifted from 3rd to 4th at about 2,800rpms but when I do it seems like there is no power there any ideas why it has 135k on it just to many miles to keep good power at high speed?
