Starting problems

I need some help on getting my 70 F100 Started. I did a body switch from a 70 to 68 F250. When I turn the ignition over to the on position. The starter engages, but I have no spark. If I jump a wire from the battery to coil, it will start. However, the starter stays engaged. I replaced the solenoid just today. I also have swited the ignitions from the 70. I don't know what to do next
Can some one help.

Havi has been helping me solve my problem, I was just looking to see if anybody else has any ideas.

Thanks Seafire

No spark may be caused by a faulty Resistor Wire which may have either shorted out, or been broken during the swap.

C0LF-12250-A .. Resistor Wire~Ignition Switch to Coil (Motorcraft DY-37)

61.50" long / #20 gauge wire / 1.30-1.40 ohms / color coded pink.
