yeah I know it's not a truck but then again this is general auto and it is a ford lol.
Just picked this up yesterday and got home with it today. It's going to take some work but it's my new project/toy

well obviously it's a 67 galaxie as to what I am going to do... well at this point I only have a couple criteria, first must end up street legal and run on pump gas. The engine is still up in the air, going to look the 390 that is in it over and then decide. I do have a A460 block sitting here, and Kaase is coming out with the new Boss 9 reproduction/modified heads and is getting some impressive numbers looks like with a set of those the parts I already have, I could easily build a 750-800hp 545cid pump gas engine to shove into it (or could just build a nice 390)
That is COOL!
I see it as a Black and White police car, or an old NASCAR replicar,.....
What are your intentions?
Great find, and Thank You for keeping the old iron alive!
We had a new 67 gallaxy XL when I was a kid, it was cherry red aith a white top, 390 with an automatic. My dad sold it cause it had too much power, it would get my mom in trouble.
WHO IS F-250 CALLING A SCAREY REPUBLICIAN, i DON'T THINK I'M SCAREY!!!!!
Very nice.
I wish I could find that body style Galaxie, even with a six in it. I had a 70 Galaxie 500 with a built 351w that I just got rid of, wish I could have kept it but it needed a ton of bodywork.
I think a 390, with EFI, a nice paint job, some nice Torq-Thrust or Cragar SS wheels, and that this would kick some serious ***.
i would keep the 390 in it. it would be pretty cool to have a built up fe engine. it would in my opinion make the car a whole lot more interesting than the boring 460 or 429 route.

Oh but IF I go with the 385 series engine it will be a boss 9 clone (read that as a ford hemi headed big block) only instead of 429cid would be 545, and instead of making 375hp would be making 750+
But I do like the old FE's and I have to get into the engine to see what I have to work with before I make the decision on which engine, if I have to buy another core FE to do that it's going to the big motor as i already have a base new aftermarket block to work with sitting here that needs a home.
I remember my best friends mom got a 69-70 army issue Galixie 500 390 auto LS rear no radio ugly army green but man that thing would roast the tires until you let up and handled pretty good at a 120 stopping was another story though drums at all four corners.
