Who ever used any other then stock bumper on aero. My was broken in last accident. I dont like stock bumper becouse it is weak, impossible to step on it, no tow hitch...
I wanna something more tought.... but not looking like Rulebraker's made of steel bamper.
ugly as sin but they work and are tough
loading dock bumpers
used here on logging road racers and mudders

put 3 or 4 across front http://www.bluegiant.com/dockdesign_bumpers.html
Pablo-surely somewhere in Europe where you're at there are only vehicles with the all metal chrome bumpers. Aerostar's are about 4 foot across and if your lucky you could find one in good shape and then bolt it up. I would then color coat it to the color of your van and then you'll be the pride of the neighborhood. No more weather cracking or breaking under foot.
In the states here guys do it all of the time with older pick-ups.
I can't see why it wouldn't work on your application.
The problem with what you see as the Aerostar's front bumper is that it's just a plastic cover. The real bumper is a couple pieces of sheet metal welded together, and then welded to the frame rails. Whatever you bolt onto it will be no stronger than the sheet metal structure. You need to build up something strong onto the frame rails in order to bolt the real steel bumper onto. That would be kind of neat, providing a structure onto which you can bolt on some other readily available bumper that can actually stand up to some bumping (or towing).
I was also thinking about a similar setup for the rear bumper.
