I'm tring to hook a navigation system, and all it said to do is hook one wire to the speed sensor. I have red and green wires from the rear end, can't find any wire with the color of gray/black.
do not use the wires directly from the rear diff... that sensor is a reluctance type sensor... the output is just over 100mV it is likely not enough for your nav equipment.
Here is where you should tap into it: on a 2000 F250 just behind the cluster there is a gry/blk wire.... thats the VSS
you can also get it where the harness comes through the fire wall
