Exhaust size

I'm about to redo the exhaust on my Crewcab with a 390. My plan is headers, 2 1/2" pipe into a dual 2 1/2 in, single 3" out 5x11x22" oval magnaflow, then 3" for the tailpipe and maybe a bling tip. All the turns will be mandrel bends. Is this going to flow enough? I'm going to dump it in front of the passenger tire. Anyone know how this muffler sounds?

Also, should I locate the muffler further back or to the front if I have the choice?

Don't go any larger than 2 1/2" as you start loosing low end response do to lack of back pressure. If your using the x pipe you may want to drop to 2 1/4 since your using 2 pipes.

it should breathe nicely you may want to consider taking it out the back to give yourself more room to bend the pipe
