I love diesels. Unfortunately I don't own one. But I'm hoping to buy a '95 Cummins from my Aunt, I know, not a Ford, but those cummins are sweet engines...
yes not a ford your right, but cummins is the only good thing about dodge, you would be suprised at how many cummins powered fords there are though, i would check out fordcummins.com Or thedieselgarage.com, both are references im using so i can begin the cummins swap into my 69, should be sweet when im done!
Ive been looking for one. pretty seriously looking at a 94 cummins with a twin turbo setup on it. mmmm. if i could find an older power stroke i would be okay with it, i like the ford truck better, but ive been looking for a late model 12 valve a lot more. If i manage to procure one it would just be a highway cruiser for weekedns anyway, id keep my ranger for a daily, my commute isnt long enough, it would be too hard on a diesel.
I think you would have to be retarded to want a diesel now.
I must have won a Gold in the Special Olympics when I bought my truck then.
I'm willing to pay to drive my truck. Nothing beats having to turn your engine off at Sonic so the OTHER customers can get their orders in. And I still have a muffler.... for the time being.
I LOVE diesels, I work in a shop, and we just built a 600-700 hp Cummins, and we're getting ready to do a little more work to it! Diesel is expensive though, but I'm getting ready to buy a harley so i'm not too worried about it. 40-50 mpg here i come! The way i see it is if you dont like gas prices... DONT DRIVE!
i would rather have a built diesel getting 12 mpg's at 4 a gallon
than a built gasser getting like 5 mpg and having to use premium which is almost 4 a gallon.
I don't even pay for my fuel, my company does, now I need something bigger than a Ranger to drive.
haha you lucky devil. i have abuddy thats a travelling salesmen fora bodyshop supplier and he was getting the same deal, so he went out and bought an 07 dodge with a hemi, getting like 8mpg on the highway, that lasted about a month and his boss's got pissed and took away his fuel card, now hes driving a tiburon.
you dont need anything bigger than a ranger, just drop a 5.4 supercharged in there!
Show me a gas one tone that gets 20mpg. It would cost me alot more if my truck had a 460.
That's what I tell people when they ask why I drive one. It doesn't cost much more than driving my F-150 and has A LOT more power. I'm driving it all the time now it seems since I put a set of injectors in and it runs like it should now.
I've wanted one for years and finally found one last summer that was somewhat what I wanted. Guess it's just my luck though, as soon as I get one diesel prices go up fast.
