Haven't taken my cats off. I think they would have to be cut out and new pipe welded back in.

Mine I was able to hammer it out, but the engine side of the pipe is 3" and the exhaust side is 2 5/8" which has made it a pain in the a** in putting the straight pipe in. But I have to get another adapter and weld everything in place.

IF your in the LML, without a Cat you WILL NOT pass aircare.
