The Veyron used to be the fastest. But now it's been taken by a less spendy car, made in America. The Ultimate Aero, made by Shelby Super Cars.

I know guys... not a Ford...but a discussion elsewhere led me to find these.

At the Shelby site, the vids are bottom right. There were a bunch. Nice car. Anyone got a spare $600,000 they can spare? ( I'll go buy a Ford GT and return the change! )

Okay, the Ultimate Aero is a pushrod V8, RWD, no traction control. How cool is that? I want one.
