Hi all I need some info. I have a 1979 F150 2wd C6 auto installed a 351m now thinking of getting the best out of it . Has anyone used an Edelbrck sp2p manfold .I am installing a RV cam and headers and found this manfold. If its not good I will look for a better one or some idieaof a better one. Found a set of Blackjack headers that fit 80-88 Ford F150 auto need to know if they will fit a 79 any info will help Thanks all

Stay away from the SP2P. It's an old design which won't give you the performance increase you're looking for. Just adding a 4V isn't going to give you much a performance increase for that matter due to the low compression and the retard built in to the factory cam. I know the frame changed on the F series between 79 and 80 so I don't know if the 80-up headers will work.

To get more info on the 351M/400 series and get some performance tips take a look at the tech article written by one of our members:
