keyless fob ?

keyless fob ?
Are the keyless fob's make and year specific? would a GM one work or whatever I can find at junk yard.

You can buy a new fob off Ebay for about $15 with programming instructions. Using a GM key fob, how dare you!

I know the gm thing but was just thinking if I could get down to the Junk Yard today would pick one up but dont think they seperate them was just wondering if any would work.

I think it will have to be one from a Ford, but I have no idea for sure.

You need a fob with the correct FCC ID on it or it won't work...
FCC ID: GQ43VT4T
DOC: 1470 K763
Thats the numbers you need on the back of the fob to be compatible.. Check this thread for programing instructions...

New ford wants like 100, you can get a used one off ebay, this is where i got mine
