Camshaft thrust plate - which way around?

Dumb question - 351 Cleveland.....the camshaft thrust plate......which side are the oil grooves supposed to be. Facing the camshaft? Or...facing the sprocket?

Kiwi351,

Oil grooves must face the cam bearing journal, not the sprocket.
