I wanted to post an issue I'm having here as there is already a picture that looks almost identicle to the one I'm running. I have a 390 with a 2BBL holley. the clip that links the throttle linkage to the gas pedal keeps coming off. Is there a way to stop it from doing so? I have the same clip as shown here.

No need to quote Images

Just relate your post to the post #.

Just bend it together and re-install it.

A dab of coppercoat helps to.

Usually the ball connector has worn down to the pint the clip will not hold it in anymore

Oh, ok, sorry. I didn't know. So the ball connector might be warn? I don't know cause the linkage looks exactly like the one featured in this picture. The thing is, I can clamp it down, and stuff, tighten it all I want and it still comes off a few days later.

Without the clip? Well, it moves a little bit. Not a whole lot. When the clip is in, it still moves. The clip just holds it in place. The problem is more or less the clips either come off the linkage rail or the clip bends and the linkage slides off of the pedal bar.

Ok, can you tell me how to do that? I want to put one of those on my truck, but I don't know what you used to make that or how you did it. Please give me some instructions on the materials used, and how to construct such a linkage system. Thank you.

http://www.fordmuscle.com/archives/2...kage/index.php

this is where i got the idea for it at..... i couldnt find the "heim" joints that they used, so i got the two things on the end of mine(dont remember what theyre called).....they came with an eye hook on each side, one RH thread and one LH....i took out the RH sides so my threaded rod could screw in and i loctited the LH threads so the eye hook on those ends wouldnt move.... then on only one end, i loctited the rod, so that it is only adjustable on one end....

lol. Sounds confusing. Yeah, I had the thing come apart twice on me today, and I want to stop it from happening all together.

So, I need 2 1/4" Female Thread Heim Joints (Turn Buckles), 1/4"-28 Fine Thread Rod (2-3 ft.), 2 1/4" Hex Jam Nuts, 4 "14 Insulated Washers, 4 1/4"-20 x 1 1/4" Allen Screws, 4 1/4"-20 Hex Nylon Lock Nuts, and a 12" 5/16" Brake Line to construct this linkage?
