I was wondering if anybody was using this winch http://www.superwinch.com/EP16_5_16_500_lbs.html
It will be used for loading cars and trucks many not rolling without wheels on a car hauler and trailer. I know it is probaly overkill but I would rather have to much winch than not enough. Right now we have an old 8000 lb warren from the 70's and it is getting worn out. There has been times when pulling trucks without wheels when the warren would struggle and have to use a snatchblock. Any help would be appreciated. I know this is not technically the right forum but I figured it would get more attention here. Any help/ advice is appreciated
What will you be setting it up on?
A good hydrolic winch would work real well, but if not a 12K lb electric winch should do it, and if not, a ****** block sure would. 24K lbs is 3 times what your current winch puts out.
yes deff over kill. But could come in usefull, i see somebody getting stuck then someone else getting stuck tryin to help stuckie number one then this monster givein a tug. of course you would have to be tied off to a tree or something. Thats alot of pullin power right there.
