threaded cap on oil filler missing
The threaded metal cap on the oil filler (not the oil cap) is missing. The previous owner put in it's place is a fitting and a rubber hose that ends under the truck, and isn't attached to anything. Does anyone know why the might have done this or what it might cause as far a problems with the truck? It gives the truck the appearance of an exhaust leak. Any suggestions on where I could find a new metal cap?<O

The PO may have removed/disabled the CDR, or the CDR may be trashed. If it were mine, I'd remove the road tube (because they are stinky, needlessly pollute, and tend to make a mess). But, before doing so, make sure the CDR is operating correctly.
