looking for recommendation

I am looking for a recomendation for a Tuner/Chip.

I have a 2001 Expy 5.4 (105k miles, runs like a dream). 100% stock.

I tow a 6000lb camper.

I am looking for a tuner that does one of these or both:

Increases towing mileage
Increases towing power

I prefer something simple, like one I can plug it in to the ODB port, set it and forget it. I am a handy man but I know this is outside of my knowledge base, so I need something simple.

I use this truck MOSTLY for towing.

I have a trip from Ohio to Yellowstone and back coming up and want to get something for this trip.

thanks in advance.

I would try to get a custom program made for your vehicle that would just be about the only way to truly get the most benefit from a program in your vehicle. The off the shelf tuners are a crap shot as to rather or not their "canned programs" would benefit your particular style or not.

I love my sniper special forces. It's pretty simple except for the last page when modifying a file. You don't have to do it, just answer the questions you can and set everything else to stock. I was amazed at the difference over even a superchips max-tuner on my 02.

Your not going to get much fuel mileage improvement. Mileage is function of your right foot, however, I replaced my stock transmission valve body with one from factory tech, refilled the trans with royal purple ATF and made a new tuning file using an updated version of the special forces software and picked up 1/2-1 mpg. It was a lot of investment for such a little return, but I wanted the performance.
