Evolution update software question...

My Edge Evolution should be arriving tomorrow or Tuesday.
Do I download the "Fusion"or the "Lighting" software or does it simply just depend on the serial sticker on the bottom? The user manual has verbage about Fusion only.

Next question - Should I update the firmware/Calibration/program levels first before ever hooking it up to the truck? Is there any reason NOT to do an update(like better performance from an earlier revision)?

Thanks! 02 F250 S/C

OK then... I just got the unit, the manual I received with it says to use the "lightning" software. I guess I'll update first.

Updated...installed...tested...went level 1 first. Shifting was definitely improved(much stiffer). Ran 0-60 & 1/4 mile test and wrote down all my PID's.
Went to level 2... Shifting felt same(supposed to I think), motor felt more responsive!
My 0-60 test dropped a whole second! I know alot of variables are present but there is definitely a difference! Would love to try the level 3, but 91 oct? I can't roll like that!
The way prices are shooting up, don't know if I'll ever see it. Might try to change some variables later, but for now will run @ Level 2.

Fusion is the new updated software. I wouldn't down load it. didn't really see a difference in it. Though it blocks you out of a setting you can change, can't remember what it was. It's not important.
