backspacing on 06

I am looking at some used wheels for 06 f350. the seller says the back spacing is 4 and 5/8. Willthis work on my 06? he has them on an 04 excursion

Yes, stock backspacing is aprox. 4.5", most aftermarket wheels are 4.75, but these should work, my XD Diesels are 4.56 backspacing.

Yes they will fit, but they will stick out more on your '06 than they would on the guys '04. Factory '06 backspacing is closer to 6".

I dont mind if they stick out some, he says they sit in some on his ex. They are only 8.5 wide so if i am not mistaken theyare only a half inch wider than my factory 20inch wheels correct?

Correct, the factory 20's are 8" wide. The wheels you are looking at would stick out approximately 2" more than your current 20's taking in account for the difference in backspacing and the extra 1/2" in width.
