Just purchase a 76 model F100; I can decode the entire vin; I come up with a a axle code of 12; the 76 models show's 02 which is a 3.00 ratio; and in my Chilton manual it doesn't show a 12 for 76 model; so I guess its a 75 rear end with a 3.70 ratio?
Assembly date of Dec1975
Here's the vin data.

Thanks Jay; to bad its not a 4x4; that's going to be my dream truck one day; a 79 below to 76 model...
Going to make it a daily driver so I can build my 78 model for my daughter to have; got a 1 1/2 year build window; before she's driving. Will post pic's soon in Gallery; just drove it home yesterday and got a fuel tank leak on top; after filling it up; plan on changing out all ruber lines in the next week or so to hopefully solve this leaking.

Must feel pretty good to be able to pass one of these nice trucks down to a daughter eh? You're sharing the same dream truck as me, 76-79 4x4 as a daily driver. Hope all goes well.
