Hah. When I first bought my truck, diesel was cheaper than gas. It was just under a dollar a gallon. Think that one over. Now I don't go anywhere I don't have to and maximize any trips I make stopping everywhere and getting every thing.

It's not that I can't afford it, it's just that I choose not to give my hard earned $$$ to those greedy SOBs whenever I don't have to. This is a case of too much is not enough. I am not going to help them.

I got fortunate a few months ago, my buddy had some POS car, that would not run, it would only run for a small time then the battery would die with a new battery/alternator, and battery cable. He told me to come get it, he just wanted it gone. So i picked it up for free, and came home, cleaned every battery connection, and ground I could find, and it worked and ran good. Its a 93 Pontiac Bonneville lol, its get 20MPG, which is better than my truck, and it uses cheap gas. My truck is now a weekend warrior, or when ever I just want to drive it now. The best part is, now if I want to do something to it, I can take my time, instead of trying to get it done over a weekend, or real fast. Hopefully it comes back down.

''its going for 4.15here'' in the bay area.... guess they made a mistake at the pump so i decided to fill my whole truck.. it was funny, every diesel guy at the station just looked at me like i know what your doing here and gave me a nod.. even old men with diesels gave the nod... i would usually feel bad but wtf... were getting raped by these oil people!!! and im tired of it... the whole reason to me for a diesel was better mpg and cheaper fuel!! oh well... time to sell my rockcrawler and trailer to get some money!!!

Yesterday on my lunch break I zipped across the street to get $50 more of diesel at the "bargain" price of $3.99 a gallon since the station I bought $30 worth at $3.99 that morning had gone up to $4.13 in an hour's time. This is getting flat f'ing rediculous.

Well last year was $3.00 a gallon, this year they said by summer we'll probably be paying 4.00 a gallon. It,s already 4.00 and we are not into summer yet. Whats next 5.00 a gallon next year. The oil companies seen we will pay these prices why not keep on going. Why is it when oil goes up, the price jumps 5 to 12 cents but when oil goes down it only drops a couple pennies. What a crime.

No, it isn't is it? It is a sad testimony to the state of our country today. There are several reasons for this, but our economy is now a victim of the global economy and NAFTA. I think our biggest problem now is the decline of the dollar. Hey, let's send more money to China.
