Header Wrap
I plan on putting headers on my '68 w/360. I read about people recommending coated headers. What I want to know is, has anyone used header wrap? I plan on adding headers while replacing the entire front clip. I guess removing the starter and tilting the engine won't be necessary with all the body parts off the front. I just got the truck and haven't looked too close yet, are the exhaust manifolds bolted on or are studs used?

You will need to raise the engine to get the passenger side on. Ceremic coating is better than the wrap. The wraps make the headers rust out quicker. Does help keep the engine compartment temp down. Make sure you get the headers that best match your ports. There are several sizes and shapes to choose from.

Header wrap is a big no-no. Any manufacturer will have a disclaimer about warranty if wrap is used. I learned the hard way in the ex's 390.
Dont know about exact port match, but the heddman hedders have always worked well for me.
