Has anyone tried to "buff" the clutch packs in their LImited Slip diff? I have heard that they glaze over after time and cause the chatter. SO I was thinknig about removing them and buffing them up. Any expierience?

Normally if you buff something, it means that you are polishing it(to buff paint). Now if you pulled them out and maybe sanded them a little, that might work. But if they are already worn out, then sanding them would probably make it worse. But if you are going to have them out, you might as well buy new clutches.
Thanks for the info Bobby, Thats what I'm trying to figure out...Mine has 86k on it, and It chatters REAL bad around corners... I have had it serviced and they did put the additive in. I'm ready to tear it down myself and replace the clutches, but from what I gather, the hardest part is getting that "tension clip
back into the carrier.

Maybe add another bottle of the additive and see if it helps. 86k miles is not that much unless it has lived in parking lots all of it's life. I'd try that route first since it's cheaper. JMO though. Good luck.
