I'm considering the purchase of a Screw and I'm wondering if Ford has a box liner available for this box yet? I would assume that they have but I thought you folks would know for sure?
yes, Ford does carry a box liner that is made for the screw... there are aftermarket versions as well. personally i think Ford one fits better an has the cool "Ford" logo on it
They were putting Duraliners in when I bought mine. And they didn't fit worth a s**t. They put 3 of them in before I finally got a hold of Duraliner and found out they weren't designed right to start with. I finally got one that fits but a couple of things to make note of:
1) It must be made after April of 2000. That's when Duraliner changed the design to fit the Screw right. (the side walls weren't high enough to tuck under the bed rail covers).
2) They don't come with the holes predrilled for the bed extender openings and stops.
The dealer turned this 16 year old kid loose with a hole saw on the 4th one going into my truck and when I picked it up I blew a gasket... he had taken a 2.5" hole saw to make the holes for the bed extender attachment points, which made it bow in and allow dirt to get behind it. I made them replace it with yet another new one and this time I was there to supervise it's installation. Proper size holes were drilled to allow for the bed extender stops and the bed extender mount hole was made small enough that when the mount was screwed back on it secured the bed liner in place.
In retrospect, I should have taken the offer after the 3rd one to take $200 towards a spray in liner. I didn't feel comfortable with the spray ins at the time....
You also might want to consider a spray on bed liner. Line-X makes a good product and the spray on liners won't scuff the bed and will definitely fit. Just my two bits.
It depends on if you plan doing allot of hauling of heavy material like bricks, rocks, etc. I personally chose to but a BedRug in my truck. I love it! Not only is it super tough, wont fade, weather resistant, and has a cushioned bottom. It has the best of both worlds, tough and yet can be removed in the future and there will be no damage to the truck bed, unlike drop ins that will eventually rub some paint off the truck bed and could rust.
