cant remember the number but i keep getting a code everytime i start the truck.... it says evap circut malfuntion.... where is the evap circut board on these, i think its up by the engine somewhere.
There is no EVAP circuit board. That just means that there is an open or short circuit somewhere in the evap system. Could be as simple as an unplugged component or as complicated as a broken or shorted wire buried in the most inaccessible place on the truck.
the evaporative emmissions system includes the charcol canister and soleniod back by the spare tire and i believe the gas cap also. I think leaving the gas cap off will give you a evap code....I have a evap code also and have replaced the soleniod and the gas cap and check wiring and more wiring and cant get it to go away. I;m going to try replacing the canister but haven;t had the time yet.....i'll let you know if i have any luck
I continuously got EVAP codes. Can't remember the code. May be 1504 ? Not sure. The problem was I was overfill the gas tank with fuel. During a fill up I would always try to round off to the dollar. Some reason or other I would get a check engine line approximately 50 miles down the road. I know stop when the pump shuts off. Not more check engine light.
The problem is that there are several circuits and several ways to fault each one. We need the code number to help you, not what a code readers offers as a description.
