Fuel Filters

I read a post quite awhile ago about purchasing fuel filters from International. I searched but couldn't find the post. Does anyone have info about this? I remember the post had the International part # and the filters were alot chaper. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
Tim

Here are the fuel filter numbers I have. These numbers are good for the 6.0L Power Stroke engine 2003 and 2004. For some reason I think the filter numbers are different for 2005 to 2007.

Fuel Filter:
Donaldson: P550527
Ford: 3C3Z-9N184-CA
Wix: 33599
International: 18471-70C92 (dual fuel element service kit for VT275, meaning both filters come with this part number including o-rings)
Racor: 3244-2C93

cheaper.

i get them from the local international store and i do have to provide the international number as they do not know what to do otherwise. The cost is around 35 bucks for the set of 2 filters. I've used the same filters for 2003 and 2007 trucks, I think that they are the same. They do fit the same, look the same and act the same, so if there is a different part number for the different years, I'm not aware of it.

03 to 07 are the same. It is recommended here and on other sites not to use the Wix filters as they are considered "will fit filters"

The current part number for the '03-'07 fuel filter kit from the International dealer is 1847170C93.

1847170C92 is also correct, but would be old stock.

Good, wasn't sure if there was a different part number for 2005 to 2007 vehicles. So filters are the same from 2003.5 to 2007 6.0L.

The above also is correct concerning one digit difference on the International part number.

Old International fuel filter part number: 18471-70C92

New International fuel filter part number: 18471-70C93
